Is it wrong to expect something?

I know every expectation may lead to disappointment.

But I mean, isn't it the human nature to expect even if it's not something big?

I have the tendency to do it every now and then, sub-consciously.

I hate it so much cause it's like I'm giving disappointment an opportunity

to eat me up & it's taking a toll on me to snap out of it.

I just want to be loved.

Is that too much to ask for?
